Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker Release Notes v2.00a (March 3, 1997) *** VBRUN300.DLL REQUIRED *** This program requires VBRUN300.DLL (Visual Basic 3 Runtime Library). This file should be located in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory. This file is not included in the compressed shareware file distributed on on-line services, because it increases the size of the file, and most users already have it on their system anyway. If you don't have it (which will be obvious because the game won't run!), you can download it from any on-line service. If you REALLY can't find it, write to the support/orders address later in this file, and I will send you a copy. *** HOW TO INSTALL *** Make a new directory on your hard drive, and copy JPOKER.EXE into it. Run JPOKER (from DOS or Windows) to extract the files. Leave all the files in the same directory. Run POKER.EXE from Windows to use the program! *** UPDATES *** ** 2.00 ** Version 2.00 adds a major new feature: Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots! Make a side bet of one coin on any non-wildcard draw poker game, and win extra payouts on the deal! Look up help for "Jennifer's Juicy Jackpots" for further details. Version 2.00 adds a new card display: Simple Cards. These cards feature a larger image which makes them easier to read on higher resolution monitors. Choose Simple Cards or Fancy Cards from the new "Setup" submenu on the "File" menu. The "Turn Sound On/Off" command has also been moved from the "Options" menu to the "Setup" submenu in 2.00 and later. First-time users will see a new start-up screen allowing choices of which "Goodies" to use. Click in the "Welcome" dialog at program start-up to display the start-up screen during future sessions. *** 1.20 *** Version 1.20 provides an exciting NEW game unique to Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker: Crazy Eights Double Payout poker! With this new Video Poker game, you can win TWICE on each hand: once on the deal, and again on the draw! This is one exciting game! For further details, look for the new HELP menu command, "How to Play Crazy Eights Double Payout Poker." With this new game, registered users of Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker get to play TWENTY-ONE different poker games! That's more than any other video poker program we've seen... and we give you REAL games that you find in the casinos, and every one is different. We're not like those "other" video poker programs out there, programs that tell you they give you 8 video poker variations, but then you find out that the 8 "games" are exactly the same except that one says "25 cents" on the coin slot, one says "$1", one says "$5", etc... what a ripoff! (really... there is a shareware video poker game out there that does this!) With Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker, when we say twenty-one games, we MEAN twenty-one games!!!!! Version 1.20 fixes a bug in older revisions whereby Same Four Wins More and Four Plus Four did not correctly pay out on a Royal Flush. *** 1.10 *** Version 1.10 and later provides a major new feature: customizable payout charts! That's right... you can now EXACTLY duplicate that game you saw down at the casino with Jennifer's Sexy Video Poker, even if the payout charts don't match! Three new commands are available on the "Options" menu: one to customize the payout chart for the game you are currently playing, one to reset the payout chart for the current game to its default value, and one to reset all the payout charts to their default values. This new feature is available ONLY to registered users, so if you haven't already, please register today! The statistics commands, which were on the "Options" menu in earlier versions, have been moved to their own "Statistics" menu in version 1.10 and later. *** 1.04 / 1.03 *** Version 1.04 provides some graphical enhancements and a few maintenance changes. If you're dying to know: the "Game Over" sign now alternates between "Game Over" and "Play 5 Coins", the "Double Up" dialog is prettier, and there are now some 3D fonts. Version 1.03 fixes a minor bug in 1.00, and adds a new feature: Deuces/Jokers Wild now pays the progressive jackpot for both 4 Deuces & Joker, and a Natural Royal Flush. And, all wild deuces games now show "WILD!" on the deuces, as in the casino video poker games. Also, you can now type "Y" or "N" on the keyboard without using "alternate" to choose if you want to double up, and type "2" through "5" to choose your double up card. *** HELP and SOUND FILES *** The help file, POKER.HLP, and the sound files, *.WAV, must remain in the program directory to be accessed by the program. If you don't want sound, and you want to save space on your hard drive, you can delete the .WAV files and the program will still work fine.
